Starting up

Now, at 1st November I’m starting the Sustainable Christmas Presents-Campaign. Hope you’ll follow up!

Let’s help the world during christmas!

Today’s Present: Knitwear

There’s thousands of things to knit, and today I’m talking clothing. Sweathers, socks, hats, pulse warmers and many more things! And knitting with e.g wool will make good quality. The yarn you can use is endless in varieties, and you need to find what’s suitable for what you’re knitting. And the best? The stuff’s warm!

To start, I’ll give one of my favourite knithat recipes:

Yarn: Ca 1 1/2 – 2  yarns that suit pin 3 1/2, e.g
Pinns: Small roundpin and sockpins 3 1/2 (reduce to 3 if you knit loose)
Size: Child (woman) man

Make 112 (120) 128 masks on roundpin and knit 4 right 4 inside out to hat measures ca 15 (16) 17 cm.

Start to fell:
1. round: 4 r, 1 io, 2 io together, 1 io, repeat round out
2. : 4 r, 3 io, repeat round out
3. : 1 r, 2 r together, 1 r, 3 io, repeat round out
4: 3 r, 3 io, repeat round out
5. : 3 r, 1 io, 2 io together, repeat round out
6. : 3 r, 2 io repeat round out
7. : 1 r, 2 r together 2 io, repeat round out
8. : 2r, 2io, repeat round out
9.: 2 r, 2 io together, repeat round out
10.  2 r, 1 io, repeat round out
11. : 2 r together, 1 io, repeat round out
12. : 1 r, 1io, repeat round out
13.  Knit 2 and 2 masks right together round out

14:  Knit whole round right
15. : Knit 2 nd 2 masks right together round out

Cut the thread with some to go, take it through the masks left, pull hard and sew firmly at the end.

It’ll look something like this:

A very nice gift that you can make many of in a short matter of time! 😀

Good luck! 🙂
